Bad Hair Day

So, apparently after giving a baby a bath, it is an imperative that said baby have her hair brushed. Otherwise, the child will end up looking like this the next day. No, this isn't a baby picture of Kim Jong-Il. It's Libby, the day after Daddy gave her a bath and didn't brush her hair. Hey, it's hard enough getting her dressed and ready for bed when she's in a good mood, squirming around and cooing away. When Libby is tired and hungry, it's a different story all together. Corners need to be cut. In this case, we eschewed the hair brushing. When Daddy came home from work today, Mommy explained that she told Libby that, FROM NOW ON, when being given a bath, Libby is to remind Daddy that she is a girl, and girls need their hair brushed, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I guess we learn something new every day!

Libby is quickly approaching her two-month milestone. She is eating more--six ounces this evening--sleeping more at night, smiling on her own, and chatting away. We've already had to pack away a number of outfits, onesies and blankets, and the 4 oz. bottles have been retired. It's hard to believe that it's already been two months. In that short time, however, she certainly has had an impact on everyone.

Finally, Libby got her very first Easter dress today, complete with socks, hair clips and a hat. Pictures will be forthcoming!

Libby's Favorite

Currently, Libby's all-time favorite activity is stretching. Usually, this is a very long, drawn out process that extends over several minutes. She will stretch when she is finally awake for the day. Following her initial stretching, she will continue stretching long after her diaper has been changed. Then, at various points throughout the day, she will stretch some more, becuase, really, what else does she have to do? Poop. But, that's a story for another time.

Libby's First St. Patrick's Day

Being the good (slightly) Irish Lass that she is, Libby spent March 17th at The Harp in Cleveland. She and Mom spent the afternoon with family and friends enjoying the beautiful weather. After lunch at The Harp, Libby spent some quality time with her Great Grandmother. Libby is very lucky that she has both a great grandmother and a great grandfather.

Later in the day, after Dad got home from work, Libby, Mom and Dad went for a walk to enjoy more of the day. Then, everyone hung out on the front porch while Mom and Dad enjoyed some St. Patrick's Day cheer (which Libby had to carry home from the store in her stroller). The day ended with a corned beef and cabbage dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Yandek.
