Family Fun Time!

Entertaining the JV team.
Libby has had lots of family time the last two weeks. She really is lucky to have so much family to visit and play with. Since the last post, Libby celebrated Corinne's, Uncle Jerry's and Grandpa Hanna's birthdays, Grandma and Grandpa Yandek came over for a yummy Sunday dinner, and Uncle Tony came into town with his lacrosse team. Although Libby went to both games, she spent more time entertaining the Mercy JV team than actually watching her Uncle Tony's team.

Rockin' the new hat.

Libby still goes to daycare three times a week and spends the other two days with Aunt Reen and Grammie and Papa. Once the summer rolls around, Libby will get to spend some extra time with Grandma Yandek, too! And since she'll be retired, she'll get to spend even more time next school year...when her baby brother or sister shows up and monopolizes Mommy and Daddy's time.

With Dad before his first 5K!
As April comes to a close, Libby is hoping for some better weather. The warm sunny days in late March and early April spoiled everyone. Libby has been going a little stir crazy being stuck in the house everyday when she got used to playing outside every day. Hopefully, she'll be spending much more of her time outside in the coming days and weeks!

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes...

So, Libby's Easter was less-than-exciting. Instead of spending the day with family, hanging out at Aunt Reen's with Claire, Corinne and the dogs, Libby stayed home--sick. After waking up and checking out what the Easter Bunny left for her, Libby decided that she would come down with a stomach bug that kept Mom and Dad occupied for most of the day. By the end of the day, however, Libby was feeling better, and Mom, Dad, and Libby spent some quality time outside walking through the neighborhood and relaxing. The rest of the week went well, as Dad was on Spring Break. So, there was lots of playing, visiting, and fun!

With April comes a very busy birthday season. Grammie, Corinne, Uncle Jerry and Papa all have birthdays within a week of each other. That makes for lots of craziness and cake! Libby kicked off the celebration with a cupcake for Grammie's birthday. She enjoyed it much more than her own birthday. Now, instead of merely staring at the goodness, she gets it in her mouth, on her face, in her hair, and everywhere else. Kinda looks like she smothered a cupcake grenade. In all seriousness, it seems like Libby is growing another inch everyday. And, you've gotta love the curls! Dad almost didn't recognize her when he came home from five days in Austin, TX. At this rate, Libby will be driving by summer vacation. God help us all...
