Libby's first vacation--to Salt Fork State Park--was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for everyone. "Vacation Libby", as Papa Yandek called her, went swimming for the first time, spent quality time with just about her entire family (both sides), and managed to evade the dreaded Salt Fork Grassman. The weather was great, which provided ample opportunity for swimming, walks, and hanging out with family!

Libby's first time swimming was definitely a new experience for her. It took some time to get used to the "giant bathtub". But after a few minutes of checking things out, she was kicking and splashing just like she does at home in her tub. She was quite the stylish swimmer in her pink swimshirt and floppy hat, as she had to stay protected from the sun (oh, that Hanna Complexion!). Libby went to the outdoor pool every day; her favorite part was drinking the water.

Libby was very good for the whole week. She napped more often than usual, but that's most likely because she vacations at 110%. The best part of the trip was the time spent with family. Not only did Libby get to spend a whole week with Mom and Dad, but with Grammie and Papa Yandek, as well. Uncle Tony, Aunt Holly, Aunt Reen, Aunt Lauren, Claire, Corinne, and Grammie and Papa Hanna also came to visit. So, it was good family time for Libby. Another highlight of the trip was spending Father's Day with Dad. It was a very special day.

All in all, Libby is a vacation girl, and she's already counting down to her next vacation--a week in Marblehead with Mom's family!

Lots Going On

There's lots going on in Libby's world. She had her four month check-up last week. Libby weighed in at 17 lbs. 4 oz. and she was 26 inches long. Not only has Libiby grown, but she has started rolling over. She can roll back to front, but she's still working on front to back. Libby had her first go at "real food" on Saturday, when she got her first taste of oatmeal. It's going to take some time for her to get used to it, but so far, so good.

Libby has also become much more aware of her surroundings. She loves taking walks outstide where she can see all the sights and hear all the sounds. She's taken a major interest in her hands and feet. If she's not playing with her feet, she's sucking on her hands--pretty sure she's started teething.

Just having "One of those Days"

With all the changes, there's been plenty for Libby to do. She helped Grandma Yandek celebrate her birthday, she took her first trip to Little Italy with Mom, Dad, Uncle Tony and Nellie, and she's getting ready for her first vacation to Salt Fork. All in all, things in Libby's world are all good!

Four Months Old

Almost There!

As Libby approaches four months (this Sunday), she is on the verge of her first roll-over. As you can see, she is doing a great job with her head and neck. When she's on her back, she tries so hard to flip over. She is able to reposition herself to get at her toys, and this morning, she woke up pointing in the opposite direction from the night before.

Libby has started grabbing at things to check them out. She is into her toys and loves books. Her favorites are Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton and the ever-popular Hand, Hand, Finger, Thumb by Dr. Seuss (ask Grandma and Grandpa Yandek about how many times they read this one to Dad when he was little). Hopefully, Libby will continue to love books like her Mom and Dad and her cousin Claire.

Three weeks until Salt Fork!
