Raincoats and Ice Cream and PJs and Pudding...These are a Few of My Favorite Things

In the more than two weeks since the last post, Libby has been keeping everyone busy with her Engergizer Bunny, non-stop, go-go-go motor. Even when she's sick (which she has been for the last few days), Libby is pretty much always on the move. She loves putting on her her yellow or red Crocs and running all over the house and/or the neighborhood (although she usually watches her shoes and not where she's going, thereby causing a crash of some sort). When she goes to Aunt Reen's or Grammie and Papa's, she chases the dogs everywhere they go, and at Grandma and Grandpa Yandek's, she's always on the hunt for the cats.

On Mother's Day, Libby spent the day with Mom, had brunch with Grandma Yandek and dinner with Grandma Hanna. While that is all well and good, easily the best part of the day was Libby's first-ever ice cream cone. Best of all, she ate it ALL, all BY HERSELF, and stayed CLEAN in the process. The big thing for Libby these days is trying to eat everything on her own--especially with her spoon. Libby loves ice cream, pudding, baked sweet potatoes and pumpkin muffies from Panera. She is doing a great job eating out of her bowls with her spoon (and she manages to keep most of the food in her mouth!).

The other new development for Libby is her ability to identify and mimic sounds. Her current favorite toys are the Playskool Animal Wheel Pals. If you ask Libby to go get her hippo or her zebra, she will bring back the right one. And now, when she picks up certain animals, she will demonstrate the animal sound--so far she can "baa", "oink" and, best of all, "ROAR"! It's very cute and extremely entertaining.
Finally, with the change in weather, Libby has been able to debut a whole new wardrobe. And, while the picture might not suggest it, Libby LOVES her new clothes. (She does, in fact, like her new raincoat. It just so happens that she is not a morning person, and this picture was taken before breakfast. Dad should have known better!)
