Sick, but happy!
While the calendar says today is May 17th, Mother Nature says otherwise (as she has been doing all too often, lately). Despite the cold, rainy conditions, as well as a few colds and more ear infections, it has been business as usual for the Yandek Ladies. Just last Saturday, Libby got her first chance to meet some of her favorite Dinsney Princesses!

Libby went with Mom and Grandma Yandek to the Princess Breakfast as put on by Olmsted Falls Performing Arts. Not to be outdone by any high school kids, Libby dressed the part, attending as none other than Snow White. Libby had a great time meeting Cinderella, Tinkerbell, Sleeping Beauty, Belle and even Prince Charming!

The weekend before that the girls celebrated Mother's Day with all the important people in their lives. First, Grandma Yandek and Aunt Holly came over for brunch. After lots of pancakes and a nap, it was off to Grandma Hanna's to celebrate with Grammie, Aunt Reen, Aunt Lauren and their cousins. Obviously, it was a special day for Mom, as she got to spend her first Mother's Day with both of her girls! To mark the occasion, Dad let Libby pick out all of Mom's gifts. Let's just say that Mom's taste in clothes and Libby's taste in clothes differ tremendously! Although, Mom will be keeping the butterfly socks Libby picked out...

While Libby is in full princess mode all the time, Mary is trying her hardest crawl, walk, or do whatever she possibly can to get from Point A to Point B. It's to the point now where Mary becomes extremely upset because she can't crawl or walk. She does manage to scoot, roll and sprawl across the room, but it's not particularly efficient, dainty or lady-like! All the energy Mary spends trying to crawl keeps her sleeping long hours every night. She is obviously her father's daughter, as most nights, Mary is asleep before the light goes out and in the morning, she usually has to be disturbed from her sleep so Mom and Dad can get out of the house on time.

Speaking of sleep, Libby has made the transition to her Big Girl Bed. While she was very excited when her crib was converted to a toddler bed, and even more excited when she got a brand new toddler bed, she doesn't really like to spend a lot of time in them. Every night, either Mom or Dad has to "go to sleep" until Libby finally passes out. After sneaking out of the room, Libby will usually sleep for a couple hours before waking up, at which point she will attempt to get into bed with Mom and Dad. This usually happens a couple times each night. For some reason, both Libby's grandmothers have the ability to get her to fall asleep in her bed without incident. Mom and Dad, not so much. The best story, however, is when Libby started crying and asked Mom to get her some milk. While Mom was downstairs, Libby moved her pillow, blankets and stuffed animals into Mom and Dad's bed. Clearly an act of deception on Libby's part. Mom wasn't even angry. She was impressed.
