Since the majority of this space is dedicated to Libby's exploits--she's older and the things she says and does are pretty ridiculous--it's about time Mary Frances got some air time all her own. And, as they say, there's no time like the present! Actually, Mary is starting to come into her own, showing off her unique personality. At almost ten months old, Mary is pretty close to crawling. Unfortunately, she's in no hurry to do so, since she is far more interested in walking.

Mary has started become very vocal when she wants to stand up. Moreover, she becomes visibly--and audibly--angry if she can't stand up (God help you if you don't help her up!). Likewise if there is something she wants that she just. Can't. Get. Basically, Mary wants to do everything Libby does, and then some. Along with the standing and crawling, Mary claps all the time and is pretty solid on Peek-a-Boo and "So Big."

One of the major differences between Libby and Mary is their behavior when they are sick. Most of the time, Libby is still herself when she's not feeling well. Mary, however, is a completely different kid. She doesn't eat, she doesn't drink, and she is pretty much bitter all the time. Not than anyone blames her. Also, unlike her sister (but just like her Mom) Mary absolutely despises the heat. When it gets really hot, Mary will wake up after a few hours all hot and sweaty and grumpy. Usually, Mary is the sleeper--once she's out, she's out. When it gets uncomfortably hot, though, it's a totally different story.
